| An acoustic
pop journey of love songs, lust songs, and bachelor appropriate tunes. Fernando Tarango was raised in a West Texas town in an adobe house where he grew up listening to Oldies, Country, Tex-Mex, and his dad's mariachi records. In the third grade he was recruited by the American Boychoir School and was sent away from home at the age of 10 to become a professional choirboy. After traveling the world recording and performing, he returned to his family who had by then relocated to Indiana, for the Middle-America-Catholic-high school-life where he learned the value of Catholic morals and SHOWCHOIR! At the University of Michigan School of Music as a vocal performance major Fernando joined the Michigan Men's Glee Club, was chosen to become a Friar, and soon forgot about his Catholic morals. His new loves included: Beer, Women, Merriment, and Music Making. After his college girlfriend stole her sister's warped Epiphone and gave it to him as a gift, he scratched women off the list of loves and in their place put songwriting. After college, Fernando moved from the Midwest to the Bay Area, and now finds fulfillment as a professional choral singer, soloist, and PE teacher. |
